Loreal Serum Foundation

Hey there beauty enthusiasts! Tried L’Oréal's Age Perfect Radiant Serum Foundation? Well, I did, and spoiler alert: I'd buy it again! It's a lightweight formula with decent coverage, perfect for sensitive skin. If you're into full coverage, this may not be your vibe, but for us medium coverage lovers, it's a win. SPF 50? Check! Dermatologist-tested? Check! Non-comedogenic? Double check! Some say it lacks coverage for mature skin, but fear not, alternatives are listed. All in all, a radiant thumbs-up from me!

My Honest L’Oréal Serum Foundation Review — Would I Buy This Again?

Yes! I would buy this foundation again; I really like it. It’s got a great lightweight formula, yet I feel that there is enough coverage as well. I have sensitive skin and this foundation worked well and left my skin looking great. I have tried dozens and dozens of foundations and I’m not a big fan of full coverage or heavy foundations, so I really appreciate the medium coverage I got with this brand. If you are looking for some full coverage options, I wouldn’t recommend this brand.

How to Buy L’Oréal Serum Foundation

If you want to make sure that you buy the right serum foundation from L’Oréal, there are a few steps you can take to guarantee that you do that. Below are our recommendations:

Verify the Coverage Level

Perhaps one of the best ways to make sure that you buy the right L’Oréal foundation is to verify the coverage level. Not only that, but you should know how much coverage your face requires. If you don’t like the cakey makeup look, then go for a foundation that’s light to medium coverage.

However, if you’re trying to perfect wrinkles and blemishes, a full coverage foundation might be your best bet. With that said, find out what you prefer and then make sure the foundation that you choose provides that.

Read Reviews

Another smart thing to do is read reviews about the product that you’re interested in. Of course, you can’t base your decision solely on the opinions of others, but reviews are a huge help. If customers don’t like a particular makeup product, they’re usually vocal about it and honest in their feedback.

The same goes for positive reviews. We encourage you to read both to make an accurate assessment of whether or not a particular foundation is right for you.

Be Sure That the Product Works for Sensitive Skin

Another smart step to take is to verify that the product works well on sensitive skin. There’s nothing worse than using makeup that further irritates your skin.

Then, you’ll be forced to use more makeup in an effort to cover up breakouts and other skin issues. If the foundation isn’t made for sensitive skin, and you want to try it anyway, we recommend applying it to a small section of your face to see how your skin reacts. You may be hesitant to use it on your face, and if you are, try it on your hands.

However, your face might react differently from other parts of your body. Just test out the product at your own discretion.

Know Your Skin Tone

In order for you to match your face to your foundation, you need to know your skin tone and which shade matches the best. We suggest doing a test match on L’Oréal’s website. They have a live try on that helps customers pick the best color foundation for their skin. You could also go into the stores and try swatches for L’Oréal products.

Key Features of Radiant Serum Foundation with SPF 50

Loreal Serum Foundation Review: What I Really Think of This Foundation - Glamour 'n Glow (5)

There are a few key features of this radiant serum foundation that make it uniquely special. It’s formulated with SPF 50, and it contains vitamin B3 and hydrating serum. Plus, it evens skin tone and adds a radiant finish. Below are some of its key features:

All-Day Hydration

You don’t have to worry about your face feeling dry while wearing this product. It provides all-day hydration, and the formula is super hydrating. This foundation goes on smoothly to provide even coverage, so the foundation won’t settle into the lines of your face.

Includes SPF 50

When you’re out in the sun, your face requires protection. Too much exposure to sun rays could darken blemishes and deepen dark marks. You don’t want that. The incredible thing about this foundation is that its all-in-one. It offers sun protection and foundation combined. It’s a win-win!

Liquid Makeup

If you prefer liquid makeup over powder, then you’ll enjoy this foundation. You can apply it using your fingers or with any tool you’d like. It provides a nice, smooth finish that gives a medium level of coverage.

Comes in a Variety of Shades

Finding the proper shade won’t be a problem with this product. There’s something for everyone. The shades range from a light-colored Ivory to a deep-colored Espresso.

The Pros of L’Oréal’s Radiant Serum Foundation

Loreal Serum Foundation Review: What I Really Think of This Foundation - Glamour 'n Glow (6)

This L’Oréal foundation has a lot of great features. If you’re looking for a foundation that offers all-in-one benefits, this is it. Check out some of this radiant serum’s pros:

Non-comedogenic

One of the best qualities about this serum is that it’s non-comedogenic. That means that it doesn’t clog your pores. Makeup is one of the main culprits that clogs pores and creates breakouts. Thankfully, you won’t have that issue when using this foundation.

Formulated for Sensitive Skin

It’s so difficult to wear makeup and put certain products on your face when you have sensitive skin. The good news is, this foundation is formulated for sensitive skin. Therefore, your face won’t experience bad reactions or breakouts.

Dermatologist Tested

You’ll feel more confident knowing that this product was tested by a dermatologist before hitting the market. Obviously, dermatologists work with skin, so they know what’s best for it.

It’s nice knowing that an expert gave this product a thumbs up.

How to Use L’Oréal’s Radiant Serum Foundation

To make sure that this foundation looks good when you apply it, blend it in an outward motion. Feel free to add it to your face using your fingers, a makeup brush, or a beauty blender.

The Cons

Every product isn’t perfect, and that includes this foundation. Here are its downsides:

Not Enough Coverage

This foundation caters to mature women. However, some mature women found that this L’Oréal foundation didn’t provide enough coverage.

Since they were trying to hide age spots and wrinkles, they wanted a foundation that offers full coverage, and this one doesn’t. So, if you are trying to cover up certain imperfections, keep that in mind when selecting this product.

Alternatives We Recommend

In addition to the product detailed above, there are two other serum-based foundations by L’Oréal that we like. Here’s a breakdown of both of them:

FAQs

Question: Do I Need to Put on Additional Sunscreen With L’Oréal’s SPF Foundation?

Answer: You don’t have to; however, an extra layer of sunscreen never hurts. Some of the L’Oréal foundations have a high concentration of SPF, and you should be fine with those. If you are someone who has oily skin, then putting on SPF and foundation might make your face a bit oily.
If that’s the case, consider only using the foundation with SPF included. But do so at your own discretion. If you’re having a day at the beach, or if you’re out on a sunny day, your skin might benefit from double sunscreen.

Question: Are L’Oréal Foundations Any Good?

Answer: Yes, they are. L’Oréal is a reputable brand that’s been around for quite a while. Not only do they have good foundations, but they also sell other quality makeup as well. If you’ve never tried L’Oréal, it’s a well-known drugstore brand. It’s on the same level as Covergirl and Maybelline.
If you see a L’Oréal foundation product that you’re interested in, we recommend giving it a try. We don’t have too many bad things to say about L’Oréal.

Question: Does L’Oréal’s Age Serum Foundations Actually Work?

Answer: They will help your skin to look better. But if you have a significant amount of wrinkles or age spots, we suggest using other forms of skincare. It’s in your best interest to have an age-defying skincare routine to use in conjunction with the foundation.
Although you will see some results from the foundation, you may not get the results that you desire by using it by itself.

Question: Is L’Oréal Makeup Expensive?

Answer: L’Oréal makeup is pretty affordable. It’s not outrageously expensive, and you can expect to pay standard prices for it. You won’t pay as much as you would for a high-end makeup product from brands like Mac. On the other hand, it’s not as cheap as dollar store brand makeup.

Question: Is L’Oréal Foundation Good for Sensitive Skin?

Answer: Yes, L’Oréal sells foundation that’s specifically for sensitive skin. If you have sensitive skin, we urge you to make sure that whichever L’Oréal product you buy is made for skin sensitivity. Thankfully, they have a lot of products to choose from that won’t irritate your face.

Question: Does L’Oréal’s Radiant Serum Foundation Last in the Heat?

Answer: It absolutely holds up well to heat and humidity! When you put it on, it’s bound to last during a hot summer day. Remember, it also includes SPF, so it provides the best of both worlds. The foundation combats heat, and it gives your skin protection from the sun. It’s a win-win!

Question: What Can I Do If I Want Full Coverage Makeup from L’Oréal?

Answer: L’Oréal does sell full coverage makeup. But unfortunately, their radiant SPF serum foundation is only medium coverage. The good news is, if you want more coverage, you can always build it. Since it’s a medium coverage foundation, it should be fairly easy to add to it until you get the type of coverage and look that you want.

Loreal Serum Foundation Review: Conclusion

Overall, I really like L’Oreal’s Radiant Serum Foundation with SPF 50. Not only is it great for sensitive skin, but it’s an all-in-one product. It’s a liquid foundation that includes SPF 50 to keep your face protected from the sun.

Plus, but it’s ultra-lightweight and gives your skin such an amazing, even tone. It is a medium-coverage foundation, so if you prefer something more heavy-duty, then you may not care for this one. But we think it’s a winner. What do you think?
